Lufft Meteorological Instruments
Lufft has produced fine meteorological instruments for over 100 years. Instruments include Hygrometers for measuring humidity and relative humidity, Thermometers for temperature measurement, and Barometers for atmospheric pressure measurement.
Thermo Barographs are also available, as well as test and scientific instruments which indicate absolute pressure, differential pressure, and a variety of other metrics. Lufft offers instruments certified by Abbeon Cal Inc. with certification under ISO 9001 controlled conditions to NIST standards.
Many Lufft hygrometers and humidity instruments feature the Lufft Durotherm element - a synthetic hygroscopic fiber that expands and contracts in response to the moisture in the air. Accuracy for these instruments are ±3% relative humidity unless otherwise specified.
Many Lufft thermometers feature a bimetallic movement - actuated by bimetallic springs which transmit changes in temperature through expansion and contraction. Accuracy for these instruments is ±2°F unless otherwise specified.
